Job Title: GIS Developer (Immediate Starter) (6 month contract)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented GIS ESRI Developer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Geographic Information System (GIS) applications and tools primarily using ESRI’s ArcGIS suite. This role involves working closely with other developers, analysts, and stakeholders to create, customize, and integrate GIS solutions that support decision-making, data analysis, and spatial data visualization across various projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy GIS applications and tools using ESRI ArcGIS software, including ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Pro, and related tools.
• Customize and extend ESRI ArcGIS applications with custom scripts and plug-ins using Python, JavaScript (ArcGIS API for JavaScript), and/or .NET to meet project-specific requirements.
• Collaborate with project teams to gather, analyze, and document GIS requirements, translating them into technical specifications and user-friendly GIS solutions.
• Maintain and optimize GIS databases, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with company standards and security protocols.
• Develop automated workflows and tools for data processing, data integration, and spatial analysis to streamline GIS operations and improve data usability.
• Design and implement web-based and mobile GIS applications, ensuring cross-platform compatibility and performance optimization.
• Provide support, training, and troubleshooting for GIS applications and assist end users with GIS queries and tasks.
• Stay current with GIS and ESRI technology trends, updates, and best practices to recommend new tools and approaches for project enhancement.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Geospatial Sciences, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience with ESRI ArcGIS software suite, including ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise, and ArcGIS Pro.
• Strong programming skills in Python, JavaScript, and/or .NET with experience in ArcPy, ArcGIS API for JavaScript, and other ESRI tools.
• Knowledge of web technologies (HTML, CSS, REST APIs) and database management (SQL, PostgreSQL/PostGIS, etc.) relevant to GIS applications.
• Experience with spatial data analysis, data visualization, and geoprocessing workflows.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and present spatial data for decision-making.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork abilities.
