ServiceNow Solutions Architect

Are you someone who enjoys designing digital solutions that drive efficiency and transformation? We're seeking a ServiceNow Solutions Architect for our global technology client to take ownership of platform design, technical standards and the delivery of seamless enterprise solutions. You’ll combine technical leadership with strategic thinking — shaping how the organisation uses ServiceNow to deliver real value across IT and business functions.

 

About the role

This position sits at the crossroads of architecture, innovation and execution. You’ll define the platform vision, set design principles, and ensure that teams build with scalability, maintainability, and security in mind. A key focus will be on strengthening IT Asset Management practices using the Hardware and Software applications, alongside broader IT Operations and Service Management functions.

 

Key duties

  • Develop and deliver the long‑term ServiceNow roadmap aligned with enterprise strategy
  • Architect enterprise‑grade solutions that make best use of native capabilities while minimising unnecessary customisation
  • Oversee data models, integrations, and platform foundations, ensuring consistency across implementations
  • Coach developers and administrators, reviewing technical work and promoting knowledge sharing
  • Drive configuration management improvements — including CMDB accuracy, discovery automation, and operational insight
  • Partner with security, operations, finance, and procurement teams to embed cross‑system integrations and maintain compliance
  • Host design reviews and stakeholder workshops to align business goals with practical technical outcomes
  • Contribute to platform governance, defining standards and reusable patterns for sustainable growth

 

What you’ll need to succeed

  • Deep hands‑on expertise with the ServiceNow platform, ideally in an architect or senior technical lead capacity
  • In‑depth understanding of IT Asset Management and the full lifecycle of hardware and software assets
  • Experience with additional ServiceNow products such as ITOM, HR Service Delivery, Customer Service Management, or Security Operations
  • Comfortable working across large enterprises or consulting environments with multiple delivery teams
  • Proven ability to bridge technical complexity and business needs through clear, outcome‑driven communication
  • Familiarity with ITIL principles, CMDB design, discovery tooling, and API‑based integrations
  • Strong collaboration skills with the confidence to influence direction and uphold architectural integrity

 

Preferred background and qualifications

  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
  • One or more Specialist certifications in areas such as ITAM, ITOM, or CSM
  • Advanced certification (e.g., ServiceNow Certified Application Developer) beneficial
  • ITIL or Agile accreditation is an advantage.
