We’re seeking a Senior Database Engineer to join a cutting-edge engineering team building high-performance, data-intensive platforms.

You’ll be working on large-scale datasets, real-time systems, and performance-critical environments and shaping how data is processed, accessed, and scaled across complex systems.

What you’ll be doing

• Design & optimise databases to support high-performance applications
• Write and fine-tune complex SQL queries to improve speed, efficiency, and scalability
• Diagnose and resolve performance issues, reducing latency across systems
• Work on real-time / high-throughput data pipelines, ensuring reliable ingestion and processing
• Collaborate with engineering teams on system architecture, integration, and product evolution
• Build prototypes and proof-of-concepts to test new approaches and technologies
• Own database operations including monitoring, tuning, patching, and upgrades
• Ensure data integrity, security, and availability at all times

What you’ll bring

• 10+ years’ experience in database engineering / DBA roles
• Strong hands-on expertise with PostgreSQL and/or ClickHouse
• Deep understanding of query optimisation, indexing, and performance tuning
• Experience working with high-volume or real-time data environments
• Solid knowledge of backup/recovery, monitoring, and security best practices
• Degree in Computer Science, IT, or similar
• Strong analytical mindset — you know how to break problems down and solve them properly
