We are supporting a leading provider of advanced communications and networked systems in the UAE, and seeking a Network Systems Engineer to support the deployment, configuration, and ongoing operation of secure, mission-critical network solutions within controlled environments.

This role sits at the intersection of network engineering, system delivery, and user enablement. You’ll work closely with operational users and engineering teams to ensure systems are effectively implemented, understood, and utilised in line with operational requirements.

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Abu Dhabi.

Key responsibilities

• Support the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of secure network and communications systems
• Work directly with end users to ensure effective adoption, understanding, and operation of deployed systems
• Translate technical concepts into clear, practical guidance for users with varying levels of technical experience
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, user guides, and reference materials
• Act as a bridge between engineering teams and end users, ensuring alignment between system design and operational use
• Support system validation, testing, and troubleshooting activities
• Provide feedback to engineering teams to improve system performance, usability, and reliability
• Assist with system updates, configuration changes, and issue resolution as required

Required experience & skills

• Background in network engineering, IT systems, or communications technologies
• Strong understanding of IP networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, routing, switching, DHCP, etc.)
• Experience working in customer-facing or operational environments
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-specialist users
• Comfortable operating in a structured, security-sensitive environment
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and influence users
• Self-starter with the ability to learn new systems quickly and operate with minimal supervision

Desirable experience

• Experience supporting secure sites or highly regulated environments
• Exposure to deployed networks, communications platforms, or distributed systems
• Experience working in the UAE or wider GCC region
• Familiarity with documentation, user enablement, or system rollout activities

Certifications (Preferred)

• Networking certifications (e.g. CCNA, CompTIA Network+)

Additional requirements

• Must be eligible to obtain security clearance
• Willingness to work on-site within secure facilities
