We’re supporting a growing technology organisation looking to bring in a Supply Chain & Production Planning Engineer to strengthen its manufacturing and procurement operations.
This role sits at the centre of operations, working across engineering, procurement, and production teams to ensure materials, components, and systems are aligned with delivery timelines and business demand.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate manufacturing and procurement activities to ensure material availability for production
- Manage material planning across PCBA, RF components, cables, harnesses, and mechanical assemblies
- Lead procurement and supply chain initiatives across multiple projects and stakeholders
- Build demand forecasts using inputs from engineering and commercial teams
- Develop and maintain planning models, simulations, and rolling forecasts
- Monitor and report on key operational KPIs across the supply chain and production
- Maintain ERP systems and generate data-driven reports to support decision-making
- Oversee inventory health, including stock accuracy, ageing, and optimisation of stock levels
- Manage product lifecycle considerations, including end-of-life (EOL), obsolescence, and last-time buys
- Collaborate with engineering teams to identify alternative components and mitigate supply risks
- Implement and improve planning methodologies, processes, and operational workflows
- Conduct risk assessments, identifying and resolving supply shortages or delays
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across planning, procurement, and distribution
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related discipline
- 3–5 years’ experience in manufacturing, supply chain, or production planning within a technical environment
- Strong understanding of operational and supply chain processes
- Experience working with ERP systems (Oracle or similar preferred)
- Proven ability to manage data, build forecasts, and support planning decisions
- Experience supporting or implementing business processes and operational improvements
