We are working with a dynamic and forward-thinking organisation based in the UAE, committed to excellence and innovation across Engineering and R&D. They are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Procurement Lead to join their team and drive impactful sourcing strategies.

The opportunity

As a Procurement Lead, you will be a key player in shaping their supply chain and logistics processes and ensuring they obtain the best value for all goods and services. You will be responsible for developing and executing innovative sourcing strategies, building strong relationships with suppliers and optimising our supply chain for maximum efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive procurement strategies aligned with business objectives
• Identify, evaluate and onboard reliable suppliers and vendors
• Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure favourable terms and pricing
• Conduct regular reviews of existing contracts to ensure ongoing value and relevance
• Cultivate and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key suppliers
• Oversee the purchase order process and ensure timely delivery of goods and services
• Assess potential risks associated with contracts and agreements and develop mitigation strategies
• Manage the procurement budget effectively, promoting a culture of cost savings and efficiency
• Generate insightful procurement reports to track performance and identify areas for improvement

Qualifications and skills

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field
• Substantial experience in managing supply chain operations and procurement activities
• Proven ability to utilise supply chain management software and tools
• Strong understanding of contract preparation, review, and negotiation
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Exceptional leadership and team management skills
• Excellent organizational, multi-tasking, and time management abilities
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
