Role overview
As the Business Development and Deals Director, you will play a pivotal role in driving large-scale sales initiatives and closing transformative, high-value agreements. You will be responsible for overseeing the entire sales process for complex, multi-million-dollar deals, from initial qualification through to successful closure. This involves crafting tailored solutions, leading negotiations with senior executives, and developing pricing and commercial strategies in collaboration with internal experts.
The technology solutions encompass Cloud Computing, Data & AI, Cybersecurity, Network Infrastructure, and Digital Transformation. These services are delivered through comprehensive managed services and expert consultancy offerings.
Your expertise will be essential in shaping compelling value propositions that address specific market and client needs. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to coordinate bid submissions, ensuring all technical and commercial requirements are met. Your leadership will be instrumental in finalizing proposal documents and establishing robust processes for reporting and governance throughout the deal lifecycle.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategies to secure large-scale deals and build relationships with high-value clients
- Lead the end-to-end sales cycle for complex opportunities, including negotiations with C-suite executives
- Define and implement pricing and commercial strategies, leveraging insights from internal teams
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather technical and commercial documentation for bid submissions
- Compile, refine, and present comprehensive proposal documents with clarity and professionalism
- Establish and maintain reporting and governance processes to track deal performance and success
- Foster long-term partnerships with both new and existing clients, acting as a bridge between internal teams and customer organizations
- Analyse market trends, competitor activities, and client requirements to identify new business opportunities
- Evaluate and optimize current sales programs to enhance outcomes and profitability
Required skills and experience
- Minimum of 8-10 years of managerial experience in sales, with a strong focus on large-scale, complex deals
- Deep understanding of current technology trends, especially in cloud and digital transformation, with the ability to translate business challenges into actionable solutions
- Demonstrated ability to lead negotiations and close high-value agreements
- Proven track record in developing and executing successful sales strategies
- Strong leadership, strategic planning, and communication skills
- Deep understanding of sales processes, market dynamics, and customer relationship management
- Experience in managing complex sales cycles and forecasting deal closures
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field
Preferred qualifications
- Industry-specific solution expertise and advanced sales techniques
- Experience in conceptualizing and executing bid activities and large deals
- Over 10 years of experience in leading customer negotiations
